Except for the traditional rabbinate, all the Jews of early 20th century Europe were on the forefront of social change. So were many other Europeans, gentiles, who had their own movements and their own ideologies to promote. It stands to reason that the gentile change agents would seize on anti-Semitism to congeal their own movements and oppose the Jewish versions of social change.
The old order of authority was collapsing and the Jews failed to see how they would be victimized in the social and political chaos that would ensue. Herzl and Jabotinsky foresaw the coming chaos.
Zionism 2.0 needs to prepare for the 21st century version of authoritative collapse and the resultant social change and chaos. That collapse will come with the twilight of the oil gods. It will be an economic version of the political collapse that defined the 20th century's version.
Israeli political parties need to formulate policies for a post-American world, when China rises to power and Europe descends into lassitude while the Middle East collapses in flames.
