Dissatisfied with the status quo

When the prime posture is to preserve the past teachings it becomes difficult to adopt a mindset of creativity. To be creative is first of all to be willing to be dissatisfied with the status quo and to believe the status quo can be improved upon. To be preservative is to be always satisfied with the status quo unless circumstances force a change onto the system. So the difference between innovation and preservation is how much it takes to make someone dissatisfied with the status quo.
The sova point is bi-directional. The economics tells you when enough is enough; the politics tells you when what used to be enough is no longer. The status quo is the institutional sova point. The creative impulse transforms abundance into a higher sova point.
