The leader of the Jewish people must love the people and know them for their civility; he must love God and know Him for His beneficence; and he must love the land and know it for its fragility and for its balance. All the political/economy the Bible has to impart to us is contained in the love of those three things. The leader of the Jewish people must also know how to lead them out of the diaspora of the heart and soul into which his people has sunk. That's really where the whole enterprise gets quite complicated.
