The Zionist credo is that the State of Israel exists for the sake of the security of the people of Israel and the Jewish people. The biblical regime reverses that valence. According to the biblical reading, the people of Israel exist for the purposes of the State of Israel. The rabbinic regime has a similar valence where the people of Israel exist for the sake of the rabbinic teachings.
