Bias in favor of emotion

Since the advent of Enlightenment values Western civilization has been subject to the world-views of people with Asperger's inclinations.
Extremely high-functioning cerebral capabilities undermined by a deficit in appreciation for the emotional side of life and the affective basis of reason. When we choose rigor over truth we are biasing in favor of abstraction and away from the meaning that gets conveyed through shared narratives. When we emphasize the stories we are biasing in favor of emotion and away from the high efficiency that comes from super-rationality.
