Whether one's economic theory centers on labor or capital the policy focus is industrialism, on what man contributes to the production process. It overlooks what Providence grants as a gift of grace.
As such, the system must, of necessity, turn on the payment for what man does rather than on the appreciation of what God grants. Since we cannot pay or repay God for what He grants us, our political/economy has to invent institutions designed to disperse the gifts as widely as possible.
