Vengeance is the exacting of negative desert.
Apparently it must be administered by those disinterested who are indifferent and have no emotional investment in the outcome. As we need to introduce emotions in our appreciation of generosity so we must eliminate emotions in our judgment of violence.
Only God can manage vengeance. Vendettas are institutionalized vengeance.
