Amartya Sen’s notion that it is important to reduce injustice is a notion that can translate into our conventional ability to recognize what is unearned and so undeserved.
We can translate Sen’s notion into an argument to focus not on what is deserved but on what is undeserved. If we define property as that which belongs to the creator of the value, what is undeserved does not belong to anyone who did not participate in making it.
The question is how does someone buy what he did not make? Can someone who made something sell it? Where does alienation fit in with our notions of justice or, as per Sen, reducing injustice?
