Jerusalem and Athens in the ascendant

When Apollo united with Dionysus in ancient Greece it made for the birth of tragedy, the dramatic rendition of man wrestling with the forces of fate and fortune and the seductions of hubris.
Tragedy spoke to the culture and the consciousness of the people. The Hebrews dealt with man wrestling with the forces of fate and fortune and the seductions of hubris not through public dramatic presentations but through the institutions of government and commerce.
Jerusalem built the system but didn't understand what it was for; Athens knew what the problem was but couldn't figure out how to manage it. When Athens and Jerusalem combined into Christianity it did so in the moment of the decline of both.
What we need is Jerusalem and Athens combined in ascendancy.
