The transformation of value

The receiver's inclination to receptivity enables the sensation of gratitude.
In a world where gifts are the primary vehicles for the transfer of value it is important for people to cultivate their skills in receiving and in appreciating what they receive. The principal posture of man to God is as female, as receptive of insertion. It is not for nothing that the Bible likely had a female author.
The recipient of a gift enjoys not only the worth of the object being given but also the affection of the gift giver to the person of the recipient. The transformation of value from the object’s worth to the party’s meaning is the essence of gift exchange.
