Inter-kingdom collaboration

The logic of waste absorption is the kind of collaboration that comes of inter-kingdom life forms. Oxygen for animals is life sustaining but it is a waste product of plants, and vice versa for carbon dioxide; manure services the plant kingdom.
Service is covenantal because it relates the waste of the members of one kingdom to the food of another. The animal and vegetable kingdoms symbolize the divine and the mundane kingdoms.
Consumption itself is but one form of waste absorption where the waste in question is the likely over-abundance of particular members of a bio-community who therefore put a stress on the ecology of that community. When population stocks get too high, when members age and can no longer reproduce, they stress the ecology.
When Man services the divine in covenantal worship, he is commemorating the ecology of the cosmos. The difference between melakha and melekhes avodah is probably the difference between inter-kingdom collaboration and inter-special collaboration, all of which is in contra-distinction to intra-special collaboration, which is further refined down to inter-familial and intra-familial collaboration.
