It is a small step to promote self-sacrificial death as a step worthy of a spiritual leader to encourage his followers to take in the performance of the cult's fantasy mission. If, furthermore, the self-sacrificial death is also the instrument of the killing of innocents, then the cult of death and murder will have achieved its mature state.
