Ingratitude, envy, malice

"... the three most horrific vices are inhuman when unalloyed. These are (sheer) ingratitude, (all-consuming) envy, and (utter) malice." (The Gift of Thanks, Margaret Visser, 2008; page 304). 
  • Ingratitude is when someone cannot bear his benefactor and instead becomes his enemy; 
  • Envy is when one wants to be the only happy person; and 
  • Malice is when one directly desires harm to another.
