Consciousness is often associated with light and seeing.
When an ideology calls itself enlightened or mid'oreita it is acknowledging the rational, reason-based character of the way of life being promoted. At the same time it is undermining the intuitive, unconscious character of the way of life that must complement the ‘light-source.’
