Exile & unwholeness

The deeper meaning of the Jewish exile could well be the loss of right hemisphere wholeness.
In diaspora the Jewish people might have needed to turn to the left hemisphere and to rational, pilpulic purchases on their spiritual lives in order to preserve their identities and their situation in their host countries.
The luxury of sovereignty would be the ability and prerogative to devise one's own mode of apprehending the whole of creation and the simple expressions of one's own creativity.
