Apart from the obvious textual differences between the first Sinaitic treaty and the second, as distinguished between the treaties' texts of Exodus vs. Deuteronomy, the second treaty delimits not only Israel's sons but YHWH as well. The second treaty is defined not only by what is written on the tablets but also by where the tablets are stored. The second treaty includes the mishkan, which defines the nature of (and the delimitation of) YHWH's presence within the camp and within (among) the people.
