Avram is born is Mesopotamia and dies in Canaan; Yitzchoq is born in Canaan and dies there; Yaaqov is born is Canaan and dies in Egypt. They are all buried in Hebron. There, in a nutshell, is the story of the Patriarchs.
All of Leah's children are born in Mesopotamia. Rachel's second-born, Binyamin, is born in Canaan; and her grandchildren, Menashe and Efraim, who take the place of their father among the tribes, were born in Egypt.
