Responsibility for the Jewish people’s spiritual collapse

It is important for the religious Jews to get a better understanding of why the secular Jews have been abandoning their religion. 

The Orthodox like to lump secular Jews into one great heap so they can disqualify them out of hand as ignorant and lazy. Disqualifying the secular helps the Orthodox to deny their own responsibility for the Jewish people’s spiritual collapse. 

Should the Orthodox begin to understand how the secular Jews have suffered in their rejection of the tradition, it would help both sides of the divide to get a better understanding of each other.
