Finding glory

The effect of evolution in civilization is to take the matter of honor from avoiding its negation, i.e., designing remedies for insults to one's honor and finding ways to correct instances of dishonor and disrespect – dissing, in the street parlance – and moving it to pursuing its establishment, i.e., finding glory and building something worthy that survives beyond one's mortal span.
