Neglecting the light

The right-wing focuses too heavily on insults to the honor of the upper classes while the left-wing focuses too much on the oppression of the lower classes. In each case they are looking at the dark side and neglecting the light.
Marxism is about class war, about bringing a code of honor to the lower classes in the same way as the development of an honor code used, in feudal times, to maintain the honor of the upper classes. Marxism and the cultural under-structure of socialism propounded the same notions of the saving of face of the lower classes that the age of chivalry propounded for the saving of face for the upper classes.
Fascism uses the repair of the past humiliation of the national honor as its excuse to wrest power to itself and to put itself above the law. The left-wing version uses the same strategem, only its victimization is of the class rather than of the nation.
When we throw in the problem of being the victim of imperialism and colonial power, then we get Islamo-fascism. The key driver is the resentment of the humiliation, the loss of face, the public disrespect.
