Unrelenting threat

The tendency to see compromise as weakness results from a smallness of spirit. It reflects a greedy, miserly character that does not know the power and the value of beneficence. 
The Arab world’s closed circle is defined by a sense of unrelenting threat, in the same way the Western world’s closed circle is defined by a sense of unrelenting scarcity.
