Valuations in the context of abundance

As fiduciaries, stewards have a duty to take care of something.
That duty to care-for implies a prior duty to recognize the value in the ward, and to recognize what it is in the ward that embodies that value. That prior duty is the basis for establishing measures of value in a society.
By invoking the duty of the fiduciary, the society is able to arrive at valuations in the context of an abundance economy rather than simulating the way we measure value in a scarcity economy.
