The covenantal interface

The creative ingredient translates a stock into a fund. The creative ingredient makes something valuable into something that can reproduce value. Creativity is thus that which catalyzes productivity. 

The covenantal interface is where an ecological function turns into an ecological service. Where value gets passed back and forth between living systems is where that value comes alive.

Markets deal with inert value; covenants deal with living value. Market mechanisms emulate the mechanics of inert physical processes. Covenantal relationships reproduce processes that give birth and renew themselves and sustain themselves from generation to generation.
