Mimicking the mainstream

The Arabs are a pagan people that have accomplished two things: (1) They have adopted a form of religion that sufficiently resembles the mainstream, Judeo-Christian religion so that, like a virus that can mask the foreignness of their DNA, Islam can mask its true pagan character; and (2) they have managed, again, like a virus feeding off the host organism, parasitically to gain at least sufficient financial power to rival the power of the societies that embrace the mainstream religions, and possibly enough financial power to overwhelm the mainstream societies.
