Projects are understood by most deep thinkers as epiphenomena. Projects, the thinkers believe, can be reduced to the more primitive configuration of subjective and objective criteria that are working in any given situation. The thinkers miss the point. Projects introduce the need for a whole and a soul in ways that objects and subjects often do not. The soul lies in the doing, and the doing is in the project, not in the subject or in the objective.
