The Soviets won

Churchill was the difference between a Nazi victory in the Second World War and a Soviet victory. 

Churchill elected to demonize Hitler and to collaborate with Stalin. Stalin was, as a result, and with the assistance of the Allied powers, able to defeat the Wehrmacht. 

Two absolutist, totalitarian armies went to battle. Both were ruthless in the extreme. The Soviets won. 

Whether or not this was better for the Jews is a moot point. By the time the battle was done, the worst had already been done to the Jews. In any case, the bankruptcy of the Jewish leadership had already been displayed.
