The demise of the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution

What actually happened in the aftermath of WWI was not just the collapse of the ancien regime but the collapse as well of the antidote to the ancien regime – the Enlightenment, democratic governance, and the unleashing of capitalist enterprise under the impetus of the Industrial Revolution.
In the 21st century, the entire edifice of conventional understandings is coming down around us. It will have taken about a century to accomplish but soon we will see the demise of the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution. What comes in its stead is right now up for grabs. It is a propitious moment for the Jewish people to attempt to re-structure themselves along the lines of the biblical regime, and to hold out that regime as a light unto the nations.
