Where covenantal relationships get defined

For competitive markets to function properly requires a political system to take care of many of the qualitative issues so that competition is taking place only in the quantitative dimension. 'Count all the costs' is a crude way of saying factor in all the qualitative issues and respect all the covenantal relationships.
The political arena is where covenantal relationships get defined and drawn. For certain parties to use the political arena to tilt the playing field in their favor is to engage in a violation of the covenantal relationship and amounts to a taking.
