From rabbinic regime to covenantal regime

To promote the covenantal relationship is to absolve the Jewish people of the religion of piety. To transform the teachings into terms of civic action is to remove from the meaning of God's instructions the patina of personal submission along with a religious passivity. It means people could fulfill their roles without having to submit to the exactitude a religious ritual would require. It would make the teachings more secular and more widespread. It would be tricky to transition from the rabbinic regime to the covenantal regime. It would require some interim generations that accepted both regimes until the covenantal regime became self-reproducing, at which point the rabbinic regime could be let go of.
