Deeply diasporic

If the only or prime purpose of the Jewish state is to serve as guardian for the Jewish people, then the Jewish State is intrinsically racist. The definition of the Jewish State as guardian of the Jewish people is deeply diasporic, coming, as it does, as a remedy for the sense of oppression the Jewish people suffered in Diaspora. The racism of Diaspora is built into the Jewish State's self-understanding.
