When we view the political/economic/ideological system as the foundation of a nation's culture rather than as some inconvenience we need to get around in our more righteous pursuit of some traditional values, then we are able to appreciate the profound effect the political system can and ought to have on its adherents. People have to organize themselves so they can live together. The fairy tale fable that characterizes the political system as inherently evil is merely the lower classes’ view of processes they do not understand.
