It takes a long time for the truth to bleed through

So much of secular learning has had about it the stink of untruth; as is the case in traditional learning. We are born into a world of lies and falsehood, and it takes much of one’s youth to figure out how to hew more closely to the truth. It is the knowledge of the truth as true, and the recognition of how the truth sits within the bed of conventional falsehood that serves as the most persuasive of arguments. It is that teaching for which men and women are most hungry. The rest is details.
