Muslim traditionalists are correct to worry about the establishment of the State of Israel in their midst. Jews are harbingers of modernity. Diaspora Jews personify the ‘stranger’ culture that will, if allowed to spread, dissolve the ethnic foundation of the Islamic nation. These two peoples really are in a clash of civilizations, and the Jewish people have been propelling an intense form of that metastatic civilization of alienation since that civilization began to come into its own with the Enlightenment.
