YHWH is the emperor, not the king

Those on the left who resist the notion of Jewish sovereignty are not really utopians; they're imperialists—except that they experience the imperialism from the subject's side rather than from the ruler's side. 
To eschew Jewish sovereignty in the name of discarding the fascistic tendencies of nation-statism is to prefer the lazy servility of vassal states under the rule of some imperial power, mundane and not divine. Jewish sovereignty under divine covenant is actually the replacement of mundane imperialism with divine imperialism. YHWH is the emperor, not the king.
