To live in a country means to be eager to contribute to that country, and to become at one with the people of that country. For Jews to live in diaspora means either they want to bind themselves to the state and people of their foreign rulers, and to contribute to them, which doesn't make much sense; or that they fail to appreciate their need to contribute, which makes them the leeches and parasites they have repeatedly throughout history been accused of being. Either way, living in diaspora is a losing proposition.
