Ideology turns convictions into actions

An ideology is a mental preparation for action on the part of a collective. It is a set of beliefs and values that are sufficiently refined and rendered into a congenial enough narrative frame so that it reinforces and allows the beliefs and values to articulate with each other so that a collective can muster itself to action.
Where a collective has strong beliefs and values but fails to act it is likely on account of a broken ideology or a lack of ideology altogether. Ideology turns convictions into actions.
